My dissertation, which attempts to answer the question “will society’s new-found dependence on technology eclipse people’s attachment to the book as a physical object?” It focuses on the physical book’s uncertain future in our increasingly digital world and examines whether a balance can be struck between the ease of e-Books and Kindles and the tactility and nostalgia of the ‘traditional’ book.
